New Bee
hello all
i dont have any hives yet and am a total novice so i have joined to get some info and knowledge from fellow members
i live in a rural part of the west of ireland on the edge of a pine forest i have been intrested in getting hive now for a few years but there is one thing that bothers me and that is the badger and pine marten population here
i suppose you can put the hive on stilts that should stop the badger but the pine marten is different they can get anywhere and ive seen what they do to a hive they completly destroy it i will put a pic up for you to see, so any information on this problem will be appreciated as i want to get this sorted before venturing into beekeeping
by the way culling/trapping them is not an option as the pine marten are highly protected
thanks
