Adding a Queen to an apedia

I’m thinking of adding a virgin Queen (from my incubator) to a queenless apedia (last one died in release cage) by spraying air freshener at the time of release. Anyone tried it… could it work?

I used to dip them in water to slow them down before adding. Didn’t want them running around like crazy.

You may want to replace the bees in the apidea to have proper nurse bees. Introduce queen at the same time.
