- 3 National Hives & 1 Observation Hive.(Indoors) & lots of empty boxes..
I keep two hives on a school allotment...Its not a mainstream school but for teenagers who have been kicked out of other schools.
I had a call saying there was a swarm....
When I got there and was walking across the carpark I hear "leave me alone..Go away" This was shouted sever al times....I thinks..."oh ****!!" somebody being chased by bees. This does not seem good.
I get closer and see somebody in a tree.....and two others standing looking.........This does not look good........until I realised there were no bees involved..Just a tantrum by a pupil..
Swarm was on chain link fence 18" off the ground..Collector shook them into a skep and all were in later in the evening when we went back to collect them.
I could have done it but solved me having to do a split or AS and I didnt want them anyway. Big swarm as well...
