Nice pictures. I presume you managed to extract the bees successfully, how long did it take to get them up into the hive? Did you smoke them from below?

However you did it, you're obviously one determined beekeeper.not worthy
 
The job was about 4 to 5 hours long had to take a few bricks out from the inside to cut out all of the comb then I smoked them up in to a brood box with the old comb fitted to frames. It was really fun but hard work & very hot on that roof.
 
Im goin to check the bee's today but i think they should be fine.
 
Well done! I can see all the chisel work. Many collectors would have walked away from that one, especially if you have to rebuild that stack after...
I hope that the bees appreciate your hard work and do the same for you.
