I thought that millet! I expect they used nuc box for transfer, quick and simple.
 
People used to mock the idea that anyone would just steal the frames, yet it seems to have become a prevalent modus operandi now. I guess it's likely those bees will now be sold straight from the nucs they were transferred to.
 
Scum for stealing, but stupidity of reporting. How many hives have 30,000 bees at this time of the year?

But I suppose Joe Public will be duped by the exaggeration.
