1 method of finding the queen

Just came across this in the welsh beekeeper booklet.

When you get rid of an old queen dont dispose of her. Put her in a bag in the freezer. Then when you have trouble finding a queen in a colony, pin the frozen queen to the top of a frame close up for 10 mins go back and look. The queen you have been looking for will normally be found trying to remove the pinned one.
