One can clearly see (when scrolling through the site) that the peak of weight for each day is around 1400 and evaporated down to the lowest around 0000-0200. The big drops are extractions. Taken from a Broodminder scale.

There is no such weigh as 0000 , nor 0200. What does it mean?

Lbs or kg. I bet kg, derived from super extraction. Extracted 10 kg?... Or, but the weigh of empty super returned, 10 kg?

Hive consumes as a food about 500 g. It is not all evaporation.

On daily basis hive weigh is lowest when foragers go out in the morning.... Does it happen so...

The scale is better to read daily, when foraging is stopped and all bees are in.

But it seems to be nice scale. Typical 1 day curve or 3 d curve would be good to see too.

What comes after 2359? Yes, kilos. And yes, one super extraction then returned same day.

Interesting - shows what we would expect. Thanks for sharing.

If you post the 1 day tab view you may even keep Finnie happy.

Day curve

No theory explains what has happened in the picture, if you do not know local happening.

About 5 a'clock in the morning weight rises 2 kg. I bet that it is rain or heavy night dew, which goes into wooden parts.

At the end of day weigh is same as in early morning. No need to quess more.

Weigh moves inside 3 kg gap, and ends to same where it was 24 hours earlier.

We have national balance hive system. In winter hives are not protected from rain. One cannot read consumption of winter food, because water goes into wooden parts and dry up along time.

Research arrangements should be better. But when weighing is a hobby, everyone does it as he likes.

Yes I would say our major nectar flow is over in the south so weight not changing much.
No rain in south for weeks and weeks so not sure that is any explanation.

That may be the explantion. Otherwise it is impossible. But 2 kg in one hour... 20 kg in 10 hours.

I would have thought you would be disappointed with that!!:spy:

Does sound allot - I always take the absolute values with this type of equipment as being a little dubious but look at the trends.
