What did you do in the Apiary today?

First honey Absolute deep joy! :cheers2: Took 12 frames of capped honey from my hive. Would have taken more but was on my own, very hot and sweaty (Monday mid morning). This is the first amount I have had in my time except one jar from moving from TBH to national. Have been very unlucky up...

    Oh dear, what a mess...not a TBH...

*Please note, as the bee hive is hand-made to order there is up to a 6 week lead time for this bee keeping kit.* Just in time for next season, lol.

What did you do in the Apiary today?

Actually made the first grass cut of the year! Quite dry considering the weather we've had but no rain for a while now. Sunny but cold. Seemed strange seeing my 2 hives blocked up knowing they're both dead!

    Did OA kill my bees?

Bloomin eck! This gets to bee a harder hobby by the minute, lol.

    Did OA kill my bees?

Having just blocked the entrances to stop robbing yesterday I had another look today. Both hives are clean (apart from the dead bees) so I am assuming no nosema. I still reckon it was the OA. There's about 6 frames of sealed honey in the largest hive in a super that obviously I removed to...

    Did OA kill my bees?

Well, I had been watching on here when keepers were doing OA and I thought I got it right judging by what others were doing. Obviously not! I followed the instructions to the letter. Trickled 5ml over each seam. Roof was off each hive for about 60 seconds or, maybe a minute! What more can I...
