    Turkey?

    Turkey bones boiled Boxing Day and Stock made into lovely Parsnip, Sweet Potato and Stilton soup... Four dinner Turkey portions bagged and frozen for dark/blue days of January - next onto Goose for New Years day - Yum Yum !!

    bees flying today

    12 degrees and all three hives busy, one very much so. Saw a mouse nearby hive so pleased to have guards on. Also put woodpecker mesh on but was taken aback by how much activity there was on shortest day of year!!! Being a newbee never seen anything like it!!!!!!!!

    What's It Used For?

    The brush is for cleaning the grooves on the fairway irons used to help impart spin to the ball, so I have been told.... but seeing as I have never found the fairway I really would not know!!! Remember do not lick your "Balls"...:driving:

    Agree with RAB.:iagree: Best left to next year now. The bees will be more than capable of sorting things out, (but not when in a winter cluster.) Feed fondant - as RAB says and if they want it they will take it. Then cross fingers and plan next year!!!

    Thanks PH I was thinking of around £4. When putting weight on label I assume that is intended for contents only and not tin + Label + Wax? The reason for asking is I cannot understand how people are getting such a "heavy" weight of wax in a 100ml tin?? My Tin, Label @ 39 gram + wax @ 35 gram...

    Price for Beeswax

    Hi I have made a small quantity of Beeswax polish -with real turpentine and put into 100ml tins. The contents weigh 35 grams each tin.:) I did not add any other type of wax or ingredients. Question:- What do forum members charge for Beeswax polish sales? Thanks in advance for any replies...

    Potential site for Hive.

    Hi I have hives that face towards the long side of a polytunnel - for the simple reason it forces them to fly over 1.8m, which is above headheight. Works a treat!!

    I am going to put some Fondant on and have read to use takeaway containers over Crown Board hole. I am just a little nervous about what sized slit/holes to put in lid as I understand that is best way to put container on inverted with fondant inside?:willy_nilly: Thanks in advance for help
