The frames are/were laid in precision... not haphazzard ... Not a single egg developed since first observation 28th...

As per title: Hive went Q- 22/6 Noted Q+ 28 /7... with frame of eggs On 6/8 = expanded by 2.5 frames eggs laid with seamstress precisioned ... but no larvae… 14/8 = The eggs remain ... no further development and eggs remain untouched. Question(s): Any ideas as to why a) eggs...

Ahh the wasps are back. Following me about the apery like loyal dogs 🐕 and slipping over shoulder to frames.. oddly scraping wood from shed.. would have thought nest building complete for season. Despite their nuisance value I'm sorta pleased to see them as neigh on zero sightings over the season.

Similar experience over this way... Queens a plenty in early season. Some wood scraping to start with but only one worker since.

Tin Snips (metal cutters/scissors) will do the job.

2-3cm ... varied... will be back as some hives tomorrow and if they are about will measure... They are welcome to live with the earwigs over CB if not destructive... Odd have not come across them previously... Look forward to positive id.

A few of these pinkish larvae are appearing over the crownboard on some hives ... Any idea as to what they might be? My fingers are crossed not Wax Moth... Bees coming up via CB Feed Hole went for one with vigorous stinging and pulling apart... I've not witnessed them previously.
