I am interested in this thread as have started treatment after removing all honey supers. Having extracted them is it now safe to put wet supers back on for clearing or will they become tainted?

Hi Mark and Wightbees from an overner in West Wight. I had a bad set back last year when stung on forehead through suit and had a very bad reaction with swelling that closed my eyes for a couple of days. I alos lost a colony to wasps robbing out despite reducing entrance to one/two bees width...

What if you do not want casts should you go in and disturb again, breaking down any new QC's? I have done an A/S and there is no room on other side of original hive to move boxes to. What should be done to negate catses? I am going for increase and will not be reuniting.:eek:

Just checked on most exposed hives and added a strap to one, (other already had one). Glad had 150mm deep roofs and bricks ontop as gale force winds and driving rain. A few bees trying to fly with inevitable ending!!! Field virtually a swamp. Did A/S last Friday and praying for better...
