hi just a quick question.

i came across a hive recently which have some yellow/orangy stuff in the cell with the larvae. i removed a few larvae and it had stained the larvaes skin. otherwise everything looked fine ie regular bands of same aged larvae c shape in base of cell well segmented.
her larvae that were affected were from day 4 to day 7 or so.
freshly capped larvae wernt affected ie before metamorphosis.( i opened a few caps to check.

I am wondering is this just dandilion pollen or something more sinistar?
all advise welcome thanks

also no photos sorry didnt have a camera

I worry about the colour of larvae, supposed to be pure white, sometimes though they have a pinkish/orangy cast to them, could be the wax has been stained, dandelion?, and the larvae take on the hue of the cell?

Taste one and it might be orange flavoured.:icon_204-2:
