In this link is Europen official research. In Finland it is executed by researcher Seppo Korpela.

4 different hives and bee strains has been on balance 6 months. It is a period when bees do not fly out in south Finland from their hives.

3 strains are very similar. Consumption is about 9-10 kg.

A Greek strain Macedonica has 50% bigger consumption .

In these days consumption accelerates when bees start brooding and add it. It depends on how much they have pollen stores in the hive. It is May when they get pollen outside.

Kajander is a Finnish local Italian strain
