Overwintered a colony in a Nuc I received last year. It's still in the Nuc now. Is there a good time to transfer it over in the coming months?

when the spring is well underway and (if it's a 6 frame nuc) you have four/five frames packed with brood

At what point last year did you receive the Nuc?
I don't really remember, end of september I think. But I had no spare hive to move it into and It was a fairly small Nuc. Thought it would survive better in the warmth of a PolyNuc then a big wooden box.

They are active currently. Not sure if there is any laying going on. It's only 7c so not really interested in opening it up right now

The population will be at its lowest round about now, so no point in rushing. As JBM says wait until they have built up again before thinking about a move
