Nursery Cages are used in incubators to hold the ripe queen cell until it hatches.

The white plug is ceramic, tapered, fits an 18mm hole, and has a half moon recess in the narrow end to hold a blob of wax to which using a soldering iron I attach queen cups, whether wax or plastic.
