I just glued and screwed a frame around it
Not great to look at but does the job

Think there is a fella flogging pre-cut beespace frames on fleabay which would make things easier ?

I often buy these. I use a router to groove a suitable wooden frame and then glue in place. Much stronger than those purchased with a wooden frame already attached.
