put them back on hives yesterday eve but straight on rather than a crown board leaving a small gap to make them feel theyre robbing to clean supers (as i was taught)

is that a problem?

To clarify, you have put wet supers straight on top of brood box or an existing super? Not a problem if you want them to start filling them up again, rather than clean them up. However, was the number you put on appropriate for the strength of your colony and the flow?
I will put 3 wet supers above a partially open crown board for cleaning.
Some say any remaining osr honey will encourage the next crop to set but I have never found it a problem

i put most on to existing super which was there to give space at removal

i have matched numbers to colony strength and pretty much where they came from etc

i do want them to fill for summer flow but OSR ended about 14 days ago and i left a bit longer as previous years, even after OSR flowers have gone....there is still a lot of nectar for a few days
