I've read a couple of posts mentioning wet frames. What exactly are they? Thanks
Conversely, dry combs are those given above a crownboard at the fag end of the season for bees to clean until bone dry; a week or less should be enough.wet frames

No. Crownboard with feeder hole reduced to two bee spaces, empty super then the whole super of spun frames.
But …. I’ve always found wet supers store better and bees are up into them straight away next spring
