Wet frames

I've read a couple of posts mentioning wet frames. What exactly are they? Thanks

Usually super frames that have been extracted and stored wet, ie not put back k on the bees to clean up.

Conversely, dry combs are those given above a crownboard at the fag end of the season for bees to clean until bone dry; a week or less should be enough.

Thank you. Are the frames put individually on top of the crown board with an eye and roof?

To clean?
No. Crownboard with feeder hole reduced to two bee spaces, empty super then the whole super of spun frames.
But …. I’ve always found wet supers store better and bees are up into them straight away next spring
