Salaam fellow beekeepers
last week I removed a frame from the hive, collected the honey by letting it leak out of the broken comb.
The remaining comb, still containing honey, I dropped back in the hive, hoping the bees would clean it
Today I opened the hive and to my surprise, the bees had build comb upwards from the bottom of the hive instead of building from the empty frames downwards.
Presumably with the wax I had dropped on the bottom.
Understandable in Australia, but here in the Middle East
So I removed the comb and changed empty frames with frames with foundation.
