Anybody know what tree this is from?
The bees love it. It has red berries on in Autumn, and is about 3m tall with a 15 cm diameter trunk.

I would agree with the ID as being Alder Buckthorne - Rhamnus frangula. Berries start as green, turn red, then finally dark purple to black in the autumn, but birds love the berries and scoff them as quickly as they ripen, so you may not see many berries in the darker shades!

Thanks guys, especially for the link - Alder Buckthorn it is, then!
Sadly it's not my tree, so I'll try and get some berries and grow some from seed.
