Friends just back from France brought me some Miel de Tilleul, which I think is lime honey. It has quite a strong taste, have to say didn't really like it!

...hint of garlic? :D
 
I think there are strong variations on what constitutes lime honey. The stuff my girls produce during summer, a predominantly a mixture of lime and hedgerow is gorgeous and always amongst the front runners at local shows. The stuff Sainsburys sell as Romanian lime honey is over flavoured and nasty.

Suspect it may not have been lime (as we know it anyway) that Frisby tried, pretty sure it doesn't normally set easily, and is golden and liquid.
