Given them 2 feeds so far. Had a look in today, and am really pleased to see that I have a laying queen. Whether it is because they are now warmer, or it was a virgin waiting come into lay, or because of the feeding ( I doubt that as there was a fair amount of honey in their comb) . I did put in a frame of honey with some empty cells. Their own comb which I fixed into frames with elastic bands is a bit of a mess, but I will sort that out in the spring, assuming they survive overwinter. None of the brood was capped so do not know if I have a drone layer. We shall see.
It all fits with a late September swarm.
