Just sat and watched all 5 parts on Youtube. I'm sure most of you will have seen it but for any newbies its well worth a watch. The story of Brother Adam and the origins of the Buckfast bee.

Fascinating and I do wonder whether he did do any further work on introducing the Monticola genetics into the Buckfast strain.

Brill little documentary.

Its really interesting. It just popped up on my youtube, I must watch a lot of bee videos lol

I've watched them twice!
First time on the iPad then when I realised I could watch YouTube on the TV I watched them again.
I agree that it would have been very interesting to find out what he did with those queens and whether the much sought after Monticola genes made the final cut.
Such a shame all his breeding notes and more information on his breeding isn't available.
