Hi, a friend told me that this was due to be republished this summer. I believe that they said August. Copies of older editions are changing hands on Amazon for large amounts of cash!

It is an excellent book - the most useful book that I have read.

Yes it has been updated and a chapter added bt Margaret Thomas NDB.
Pity that they had not proof read it properly as the prewrite up is still for the previous edition,you would have thought that might have been picked up.

It appears to be an updated version, Does anyone know what has been added compare with the 1997 version?

all it says on the frontispiece is 'with an updated chapter on pests and diseases by Margaret Thomas'. I ordered a copy from Amazon on Wednesday, delivered Thursday, what service!

got this book from the library a few months ago. the updated section is mostly about varoa, the rest is exactly the same.
