According to my local beekeepers association website(I'm not a member)the swarming season around here is June
Judging be the swarms lost and collected with forum members I imagine ye are a month ahead of us(Ireland)
Have you fount that this year swarming in your area is approx the same as the last few years or are you ahead of time this year

Every year can be different. Caused by the weather, mostly, and beeks who don't give them enough space to brood and/or store.

I said on this forum a month or two back that as far as this area is concerned the last week of April/first week of May will see a spate of swarming, and if the number of phone calls I have received over the last few days is anything to go by I think I'm on the button this year.
I'm sorry to say that most swarms are coming from beekeepers who haven't the required experience or can't be bothered.
