Swarm has arrived

A swarm has arrived into an old hive in my garden . They’ve been there a week and I’ve given them 2 litres of syrup and the have drawn comb and are storing pollen and nectar . I looked last evening and no signs of eggs or brood . Am I being impatient ???

Yes, if it is a VQ then she will need time to mate and lay, so could easily be 21 days or so before eggs are seen.
If and older Q again she will need time, some start straight way others a little longer.
One would suspect the former possibly, leave them to settle in and get on with things and check again in two or three weeks.

Thanks for replying to my quandary . What you say makes perfect sense too me . I collected a swarm earlier in the year and that was Qless so I had a bit of a panic , lol

We have nice weather so leave them to it for a few weeks. Signs are good taking feed, drawing combs and foraging inc pollen.
