I noticed some bees trying to get into my bin other day so I put a bait hive there and today they arrived.
Heard a noise while drinking my coffee and wow, the backyard was full of bees the pictures don't do it justice.
I have a vid but cannot upload it.
I had to get the dogs in they were sat watching them. Even they were stunned.
Never seen anything like that before.

Fairly typical. Lucky you. Better in the hive box than the bin! Hope it has a complement of frames in there!

Had you put anything bee-y in the bin recently that might have attracted them?

I was happy never seen a swarm before .

Only garden waste in there so I don't think so.
Saw them in my incinerator too. I've had a lot in the storage shed lately sniffing round old frames etc.

So you should be. It was arriving. Far better than seeing a swarm departing!
