Hi All... I've removed 1 super from the hive and taken the honey out, I don't want to put the super back on the hive cause I am trying to reduce the size of the hive for winter, what do you normally do with the empty (sticky) super...thank

You can place the wet super in black bin bags. Or put the super back on top of the brood box with a crown board with hole open under the super, the bees deem it is outside the hive and move what is left of the honey down into the brood box. Then when it has been cleaned out, remove for winter.
