Sugar Water for spraying bees to calm them?

What sort or strength, solution, grams to ml to prepare for sugar water?

I assume it's not 1:1 or 2:1 syrup!

Tried it, gave up. Sticky everything...

Just use plain water.

Never tried it in a hive and never will but have used it on a swarm to keep them there (water only)

don't use sugar + water to spray the bees in hive,
i've used water to spray swarm, with good result;
When wings are wet the bees can't fly so it will keep them all together
