As per the title late Thursday morning to just after midday between the hours of approx. 10.18 to 12.22, the eclipse will occur albeit a partial one . I don't ever remember carrying out inspections during such an event, can any one say if the bees are affected ?
Do the bees react to it, all head for home or carry on as normal ?
Is it wise to wait until after to inspect ?

How partial is it? If it doesn’t get dark I don’t suppose it will make any difference? I’ve seen two total eclipses and the birds stopped singing around totality

Very partial. More of a nibble or a small bite than an eclipse. Up to about 30% in the UK, depending on where you are.

They do the waggle dance in the opposite direction during an eclipse due to the reduced solar pull which confuses them……………….honest :)

I managed to go to France in 1999 and put myself smack bang in the middle of the area of totality. The weather was clear and we got a great view.

There’s nothing like it
I watched them in Zambia and Ghana. The one in Cornwall I missed as I was working in London but even in Bushy Park it was pretty impressive

We were still living in Sussex in 1999 and went up on Ashdown Forest and had an amazing view, my brother went to Cornwall and it was cloudy and he couldn't see it.
