Putting together a couple of Snelgrove boards, based on plans from the late great Dave Cushman's website.

Has anyone here built their own, and if so, how did you attach the entrance gates? I've just tried a single screw through both gates and the board, but when I open the gates they wind themselves up or down the screw thread, becoming either very loose or very tight in the process...

easiest way is to use thicker ply for the board and two smaller screws OR pivot each gate of a pair from opposite ends.

just google snelgrove board in images section - only the DC diagram has doors opening same way - all the other pics have pivots at opposite ends!

Use screws with plain shanks.
