Ok so I thought I would be the first of the day...

I want to wish them both best wishes as it is their wedding day.

I saw her gathering with her friends getting ready to go and meet with the congregation. Everyone was spilling out, buzzing about, and making a lot of noise the excitement was palpable...

Fancy the BBC making a fuss of my young virgin queen...

No really the wedding is an especially joyous occasion in our house as we need some new tea towells...

It's a bit strange that Kate and William chose to get married in Westminster Abbey, or Westminster Santander as its known nowadays. I've lost a little interest already...

Bless them both I say - certainly not a life I would choose for myself. Glad they're getting married and I hope they have a long and happy one. Now, is it too early to start on the Pimms?

It's fantastic!!!

An extra day off to get my beekeeping done with!!

Good luck to them + thanks for an extra holiday!

Now I sat to watch the news last night and within 10 mins was sick of it...not two young kids getting married, not the monarchy, but the media coverage and the odd balls.

Still gave me a joke about Royal Jelly that I cannot post.

Amen to that - if they want to go and get married then thats up to them, but I've found myself shouting at the radio half a dozen times already this morning. If it wasnt for the bees I'd have gone away.

PM me with that joke Sam!

Love it - day off work, dog had extra bonio, bees celebrating on the hawthorn blossom, first new queen (when they make cells) to be called "Kate" ........ ....

Kinda reminds me of 30 years ago, when his father and mother got married...

Shame his mother was not here to see it! I think she would have aproved!

I was hoping it was going to be warm, there is always a chance of a swarm when its warm, plus its a bloody good excuse to turn the tele off and get out of the house :D

Just hope hes dose not take after his father, the night before his wedding. And Kate dosent know James Hewitt Boy :D

Who needs an excuse- I have tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans and begonias to plant out.
May have a glass or two of Gooseberry wine 2007 which I found in the garage last night - shows it is time it was tidied! Yippee 12 bottles dusted off- and it is good

well, having celebrated the 412th birthday of Oliver Cromwell's on the 25th April ,i have decided that two celebrations in the same week are a bit much :D

so i will be making up frames on the patio today ( but the wife has been watching the TV since 8:00)

I'm off to inspect a nuc I made up last week, to see if the QC is sealed and to top up their frame feeder.
at least the roads should be quiet this morning!

Quite so...we've still got an old show ewe called Camilla. Fionn didn't make it through this last winter.

All the lambs are jet black this year.

I'm far more interested in a more local royal wedding: the second of my blushing, radiant new queens has met her handsome princes and done the deed. I now have lots of royal babies!

The alternative days event - Brinsbury Auction !!

Well I did declare solidly the intention to go to the Brinsbury auction and leave the Royalists to vegetate in front of TV. Was swamped by sea of protest and SWMBA playing the trump card "... if you take our one surviving car, i won't do "sainsburys" (other supermarkets are available) and you don't get dinner/lager.." The last word being the definitive trump? So I buckled and did other things - including watching the coverage.

All very enjoyable really. Impeccable coverage by BBC? My fav (surreal) shot was the sight of hundreds of Life Guards plus GG's trotting through central london, and in same shot, hooded bus stops ("bus not stopping here"- no really?) Check it out on the re-runs. It was also a sight to see one single line of police stopping thousands of people surging down the Mall - how different to a few weeks ago?

It was worth watching just for the sight of a Rolls Royce Phantom 4 - never seen one before and I am a RR fan. and those camera shots from inside the cockpit of the Lancaster bomber??!

Glad I watched it after all.

Regards
