I hope all goes well Rosti, if you can get them in a nuc or similar will you keep them in a garage to keep them warmer than the garden until the weather gets kinder?

Actually its a very good question given the w/e up here is meant to go a bit raw again. Best option is I think a 14x12 BB with space board internal sides then dummies down to what ever size is needed for the comb. Perhaps equal to a 2/3 brood box (rather than the nuc which 45%). I was going to given them a Millers worth of 2:1, but I like your garage idea, hadn't thought of that. I am off abroad for work Monday so they'll have to come out to the garden Sunday what ever. Run out of fondant so I'll have to make some of that as wel I guess!

(If you can get some fondant on right over them when they re-cluster I wouldn't worry too much about the cold. Just a bit of shelter in a sunny spot - if we get any!)
