queen shutting down

when does a queen stop laying or slow down laying , I mean what month?. is it earlier when having a poor summer or what ?

7 out of 8 queens in my main hives had reduced egg laying or stopped it completely in June/July due to the terrible weather..

(Not too good if you're trying to raise queens! or honey!

that was the kind of answer I was looking for..my two hives don't seem to have any eggs or grubs but weather has been cold and lashing with rain for two weeks or more
