I would like information on the methods of holding a Queen Cell in place when moved to breeding hive (in my case Apedia). I recall in some distant pass been told to use a paper clip but just cannot recall how to.

Any comments appriciated esp images of said methods as pictures speak 1000 words

cheers

Thanks for the link and although it does mention the use of a paper clip it does not say how to

"10. Insert sealed queen cell between gap in frames. A paper clip or similar can be used to hold cell in place"

I'm sure it is obvious once one has seen how its done . hence why iasked for an image.

I will look into the wire spiral cage

Thanks for your input.

Using an apidia you can push the top of the QC into a paperclip, place the QC through the round hole in the Apidea crownboard, the paperclip will allow the QC to hang between frames without having to remove the crownboard.
