Without wishing to put you off, there is nowhere there that is suitable in my opinion. Bees have had hair days, they are a creature that sting when cross, you will be looking in the hive every week for five months. One day they will get cross. Please please please look for an out apiary within easy travelling distance. There are threads on here where hives have had to be moved from gardens. You will be one of them soon. Trust me, I have bees always in my garden but even in one acre they can be a problem!

Placing a hive in a front garden, would encourage youngsters to throw stones at it, if the temperament of the bees change for the worse, then, the postman, delivery men etc could end up getting stung, passers-by could get stung while you are manipulating the hive. Then there are the swarms. Please find a suitable apiary by talking to farmers.

Yep, obviously deleted all his original post.....oh well!

I can remember a WBC hive in a small front garden about 38 years ago. The beekeepers stood out like sore thumbs, and after reading one incident on here, not a nice experience to be confronted by passers-by.
