Yesterday the themostat on my warming cabinet went haywire.
It heated 50lbs of honey to about 80 deg c for approx 3 hours.
The honey has darkened in colour had has a slightly bitter taste.
I therefore cannot sell it.
Is it possible to feed it back to the bees or will the HMF level be too high making it poisnous to them?
Could it still be used for cooking with?
What about making mead out of it?
