Here is a couple of pictures i took the other day of bees on the apple tree and also bees on the landing strip, if your bees have the yellow dot on there heads they have more than likely found OSR.

Thank you Millet for the. Pictures. Can the OSR mark on the face come from any other plant except perhaps Brassica's at this time of the year?

I dare say so and like Steve says he has plants/shrubs in his area that give the yellow dot, however where my little darlings are the only thing that gives that tell tale sign is OSR , the bees have good forage on sycamore but they ignore it for OSR shame really.

Garden flowers in the brassica family that flower in May include wallflowers, honesty, Dame's rocket, weeds include charlock and bittercress though I've never seen bees on these.
My money's on wallflowers.

Well I never...my botany is now impressed.
Thank you.
