Yes, they are usually an epicyclc reducer or increaser, dependent on which way round they are fitted.

If you want to send it to me I will weld it for you, the green paint will have to be ground away so you will have to repaint it

Repair putty?

You can now buy a repair putty - it moulds like plasticine but after a short while sets rock hard.
I first saw it at the design museum a couple of years ago - and a variant was on the shelf in B&Q last weekend for under a tenner
Might be worth having a go at repairing it yourself

Don't know what leverage you require but good ol' big T do one. Called a 'Extractor Side Handle 1/2" Bore' for probably less than a twenty note delivered. There may be others available.
