Puzzles. People always buy me puzzles. I dont like them much, but my family see me playing with them for hours and the assume I do. You see, I just have to solve them, but they are annoying.

I got a pair of leather wellies made by hunter. Hopefully my feet wont sweat in them, like the ordinary wellies. My old pair of boots are now up for sale, or i could do part exchange on some quality beekeeping equiptment.

Very nice too. Luckily my feet don't sweat and I would have a terrible problem with going from brand new to the warn look with those. Thanks for all the beautiful fotos and admitting to breaking the rules on occasion.

Oh, I also got a lovely silver medallion in a leather case from David Cameron with a covering cestificite from the Home Office acknowledging my 'outstanding contribution in securing the borders' during the 2012 Olympics

Well, together with the set of limited print bespoke admiralty charts and maps made with the patrol areas around Weymouth bay marked out (given to me after the olympics so all above board) should make a nice ebay item for my nephew when I turn my toes

Mrs Spadaman got me "The Buzz About Bees" by Jürgen Tautz

A wonderful book with fabulous pictures.

I borrowed a library copy earlier in the year - the softback version with terribly reproduced B&W pictures, which are so bad you would be hard pressed to even guess the subject matter. The hardback version is miles better with colour pics throughout.
