normal to have dead bees after OA trickle?!

Maybe they're having trouble with your Oxalic trickle, Finman ;)
 
Could a perceived "increase" in dead bees simply be down to the fact that those who have oxalic'd are more likely to be paying close attention to the hive than previously.
 
I had a very light hive. Yesterday I gove to it a full box of capped honey.
A hive activated and now this morning it has brought tens of dead bees in front of entrance. Temp is here +1C.

So, we cannot know, if OA killed the bees or did they die before trickling.

However, the colony will be more or less in good condition next Spring and that is the main point.



I opened another hive yesterday. It was in calm cluster. Outside the cluster I can see tens of dead bees.
That is bee life.
