Hi guys,
had a call from a neww beek who had lost a swarm and didnt have any spare kit to catch it.
after an hour, they are all safely in a nuc.
It was a good size swarm and wasnt sure if it was a prime swarm or cast. After some more questions it turns out its a cast. I assume this will have a virgin queen with it
Im now debating where to put this nuc. Should i put it at my aipary so that she has access to drones from my other hives or is it ok to keep this one at home, so I can watch the commings and goings of the bees? I just dont know if keeping them in my garden will give the queen a less likely chance of mating? what do you think?
