new bees

hi after losing my bees a couple of weeks ago is it too late in the year to start again? the queen stopped laying and they dwindled away so should I wait till next year? I've been promised a colony from a friend but as of now they haven't arrived so can anyone help cheers ken

Still plenty of time especially if you get a laying Queen in the colony.

I had a small swarm arrived a while ago. Q went missing and colony dwindled just put in a mated Q and they are on the up again. Hope to get them through winter if I can. They were only a small cast swarm and had been Q- for about 10 days and not dwindled to the point of "lost" are you sure they were healthy in the first place
