A positive side to the recent freeze is the supers of drawn comb in my shed have been subjected to prolonged below zero temperatures. However, the lowest it got down to here was only -5C and the temp in the shed would have been above that I think but still below zero.

My question is how far below zero does it need to go to kill wax moth eggs and larva? I know a deep freeze works but they go down to something like -18C and some parts of the rest of the country had very low temperatures like that but here it was warmer.

I don't know but I would think the bad news is that you won't be able to rely on your level of cold weather - proppa li'l 'ot spot!

Mine stand outside and will be OK for a while.
