National hive tin for roofs

Hi,
i am looking to cover the roofs of my hives with tin to protect them against the weather, i was just wondering about places where i could buy some thin cheap tin near Shropshire...

Try scrap metal yards there are lots of things that you can use, aluminium trailer and caravan bodies, old fridges and freezers

find a local printers, they tend to have tin plate used for printing, which gets thrown away after use

Old lithograph plates , just look up local print works , should get some for a nominal fee

Try your local scrapyard for aluminium sheet from caravans or whatever.

Take a pair of bolt cutters to a local dumped car and cut off a door panel - then hammer to shape.

Luckily for me I work at Kingspan and we scrap around 10 ton plus a week! Usually 0.5 mm.... Hmm now I may see a little money spinner to help the funding of next years hives

Outer skins of old caravans are useful and weather proofed .
