Bee inspector looked at the bees. Happy with them. said to feed 1:1 to encourage building up thr super comb. Put in about 3KG sugar over a week. Bees built quickly. Could there have been enough syrup to have made stores? I don't want that in my honey. Perhaps I will keep this super for winter feed?
Bees swarmed last tuesday. :-(. Checked for cells. Kept a nice unsealed one.
Checked Sunday. Couldn't see it. (gutted).
Just looked now and found 3 sealed. Left the biggest and destroyed the others.Added second super. Retired to bath and G&T.
Have I done the right things?
