Inspected today and found a new queen in one hive (had been split with sealed queen cell), she has started laying and looks lovely and plump, so she successfully mated even with the crap weather.

Found another queen from our 1st swarm and they are drawing comb nicely

Didn't find the new queen in the other hove and no eggs laid yet but she could be out on a mating flight and im not worried because if theres no eggs in a few weeks, I can unite.

The most enjoyable bit was seeing the new queen and the bees were all in a great mood, didn't even smoke today and had no followers or bees hitting the veil - maybe they are just enjoying the sun...

Very satisfying

Hi beecology,
Your in the zone! Good work. RAB is right that you have to look out for worker brood, but hey let's enjoy the moment, as some people don't get to have many good ones!
