Needs some joined up thinking here, I might suggest. OSR into bloom early April? Need at least two brood cycles to gain sufficient foragers for effective collection of surplus nectar? Frame feeder used will be at the same temperature as the cluster? Not now too early for sensible brood expansion. They will need the water for feeding larvae, if it comes cold. Need I add any more reasoned justification for feeding syrup at this point in the season?
