Mess on the inspection tray.

Can anyone tell me what this is...it is like full wax capping's have been removed in one piece.. i am not sure if it was wax though..

I have never seen them removed in one piece... it has always been fine particles.. is there any reason behind it or is it quite normal.

No mouse dropping's on the tray and this particular hive has a under floor entrance floor with a 9mm entrance as do all my hives all year around tunnel or UFE which means it is impossible for mice to gain access ...

How did they pass through the open mesh floor...? . a mystery to me for sure.. as i stated in my original post though not sure if it was wax or not.

Not sure with the cappings but i know the crystals are sugar syrup..

Its the inspection tray under the mesh floor so that is not possible...

pretty sure they're drone cell cappings, either from cells with stores in them or actual drones. Because they look domed, you may have drone brood in there. I'm thinking house bees have dragged the cappings through the bottom entrance onto the OMF tray rather than leaving them on the mesh floor.
