If the weather is good do queens need more than 1 flight? Will a queen take more than 1 mating flight in a day? If queens take mating flights over several days, would an early inspection cause a queen to not get fully mated and therefore turn drone layer earlier than normal?

Could, conceivably. Weather is a far greater factor in the UK? Never wondered why so many queens are imported?

Nooo, it won't improve your 'problem'. But good, consistently warm weather makes getting queens properly mated sooo much easier, sooo much earlier for our beekeeping season. Weather is the key factor, interfering beekeepers may be a minor nuisance/factor. Need I say more?
